Generally these items, would have been used on America's railroad network at some point in time. Items here are considered collectable, and convey no authority for current railroad operations of their respective railroad.

The New York City Transit Authority operated both bus and subway operations from 1953-1968. This particular logo was in use from 1962-1968 and badge is believed to be from that era. Used with some missing paint.

The New Haven Railroad operated both freight and passenger trains from 1872-1968. This is a Ticket Collector badge from sometime during that era. Appears to be used with some missing paint.
New York Central operated freight and passenger service from 1853-1968. This is a Gateman badge and is of the style from that era. The Gateman would have been employed in large stations on the NYC. Appears to be new old stock.

Metro North Commuter Railroad started in 1983; assuming former Conrail/Penn Central commuter operations. This was the very first conductor hat badge issued to conductors. Intact examples are hard to find. Often enamel wears off. Not current issue. Used; excellent condition.
Conn. Commuter Rail operations began with Shore Line East operations in 1990 to supplement Amtrak train operations on the CT shoreline. This badge was among the first design issued to Assistant Conductors. Eventually merging into today's CTRail Operations. Not current issue. Appears to be used with no missing paint.
The Connecticut Company was the largest trolley company in CT at one time. Formed in 1907; it was a New Haven Railroad subsidiary and was a result of many smaller trolley line consolidation. The company ran until 1976. This is a Motorman badge from the 1906-1948 trolley era. Constructed of celluloid inserts in metal frame. Manufactured by Heeren Brothers. Fair condition, some missing celluloid in number.

Vintage styled watch FOB for Wells Fargo Company. Typically attached to a leather strap on the end of your pocket watch. This was manufactured by "A Classic Issue"; and is stamped on the reverse side with that name. Appears to be used with some enamel loss.

Manufactured by the Star Headlight & Lantern Company; this is a Model 215-TL. No railroad markings. Typically blue light signified "Out of Service". Unsure of vintage; likely post 1960s. Untested; uses 6 volt battery. Fair condition; exactly as pictured.

Manufactured by the now defunct; Dietz & Company. This is a Model 999 Lantern stamped for the New York Central Railroad. Dietz products were known as the "Old Reliable". Our best guess for vintage is 1929-1960. Was painted red at some point. Paint peeling off. Needs resevoir/wick.

This is a 1990s vintage hat; over 20 years old. Manufactured by the former BC Junction Railroad Apparel Company (now defunct). This is considered a trucker style cap and is in excellent condition with very little use. Would make a great engineer cap for a Southern Pacific enthusiast.
